Formal acknowledgment of your existing governance competencies – accelerating your path to membership.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a formal process that assesses your existing knowledge and skills – gained through work experience, non‑formal training, or self‑study – and grants exemptions from certain CIPAG certification modules or reduces the time required to achieve membership tiers.
This pathway is ideal for mid‑career public servants who have never earned formal degrees but possess deep practical expertise, or for professionals who have completed accredited training from other governance bodies and wish to fast‑track their CIPAG recognition.
Identify your learning achievements and match them to CIPAG competency areas.
Submit certificates, work samples, and a reflective statement (max 3 pages).
CIPAG panel evaluates evidence against the RPL rubrics.
Receive module exemptions or accelerated membership status.
Assessment fee applies. Exemptions are valid for three years.
