For professionals with unconventional but impactful governance careers – evaluated through a portfolio of evidence.
The Direct Membership route recognizes that some public sector professionals develop exceptional expertise through non‑traditional paths – such as senior political advisory roles, international development assignments, crisis management leadership, or indigenous governance systems. If your career does not fit neatly into the Experiential or Professional route criteria, this pathway offers a fair and rigorous evaluation.
Candidates are assessed on a portfolio of evidence that demonstrates substantial governance impact, ethical leadership, and professional competence – even without formal degrees or standard certifications.
Detailed CV or resume highlighting governance roles, responsibilities, and achievements over at least 8 years.
Policy briefs, project reports, media coverage, or testimonials that demonstrate measurable change.
Two professional references from senior figures in governance (may include CIPAG members).
Portfolio review takes 4–6 weeks. You may be invited for a virtual interview.
