Direct Pathway to Recognition

For professionals with unconventional but impactful governance careers – evaluated through a portfolio of evidence.

We use cookies to enhance your experience. By continuing you agree.

Who Is This For?

The Direct Membership route recognizes that some public sector professionals develop exceptional expertise through non‑traditional paths – such as senior political advisory roles, international development assignments, crisis management leadership, or indigenous governance systems. If your career does not fit neatly into the Experiential or Professional route criteria, this pathway offers a fair and rigorous evaluation.

Candidates are assessed on a portfolio of evidence that demonstrates substantial governance impact, ethical leadership, and professional competence – even without formal degrees or standard certifications.

Examples of Eligible Candidates

  • Senior policy advisors with 10+ years of direct influence on national legislation.
  • Leaders of civil society organizations that have shaped governance reforms.
  • Traditional or community leaders with documented public administration responsibilities.
  • International civil servants with UN, World Bank, or regional body experience.
